ALL Accor+ Explorer Expands to 10 More Countries | Prince of Travel

ALL Accor+ Explorer adds more than 80 hotels across 10 new countries on October 1, 2026, taking the program into Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan for the first time.

The announcement came from Accor Plus on September 14, four months after the program made its first move outside Asia-Pacific with the UAE launch in May. Once the new markets switch on, the network stands at more than 1,400 participating hotels, 1,800 restaurants, and 1,300 bars across 30 countries.

There’s a sign-up bonus attached, though it’s narrower than the headlines suggest, and the whole thing lands on the same day the membership fee goes up. Both of those details matter more to Canadians than the country list does, so let me take them in turn, along with what actually changes for a member once a country joins.

10 New Countries from October 1

Until now, Explorer’s benefits have worked in 20 countries, all of them in Asia-Pacific apart from the UAE. The October expansion pushes the program across the Gulf and into North Africa and South Asia in one step, with nine Middle Eastern markets plus Pakistan joining on the same date.

Accor hasn’t published the hotel-by-hotel list yet, and its participating-countries page still shows the current 20 markets as of today. The brand mix in the UAE offers a reasonable preview, since that launch covered everything from Raffles and Fairmont down to ibis, with a few luxury flags sitting out. Which of Accor’s Middle Eastern hotels actually join won’t be clear until the list goes live on October 1, and I’ve set out the likely candidates for Canadians further down.

Emilie Couton, chief executive officer of Accor Plus, called the region “a natural next frontier for ALL Accor+ Explorer,” and Kerry Healy, Accor’s chief commercial officer for premium, midscale, and economy brands across the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, made the pitch that the hotels there “are much more than just a place to sleep.” Read between the lines and this is an expansion built around the dining benefit as much as the free nights, which fits a region where hotel restaurants do much of the heavy lifting in the evenings.

The expansion also caps a busy 12 months for Accor’s loyalty side. The subscription lineup was rebranded as ALL Accor+ last October, Explorer reached the UAE in May, Accor deepened its loyalty partnership with H World across China in early July, American Express Membership Rewards added ALL Accor as a transfer partner later that month, and the membership fee rises on October 1. For a program that spent years as an Asia-Pacific curiosity, that’s a lot of movement in a short time, and it reads like a company that wants Explorer to be a global product rather than a regional one.

What Is ALL Accor+ Explorer?

ALL Accor+ Explorer is Accor’s paid annual membership for travellers who spend time in Asia-Pacific and, since May, the Middle East. Canadians pay the rest-of-world rate of US$249 a year, or 14,000 ALL Accor Reward points, and the fee buys a package of benefits rather than a discount code.

Members get two Stay Plus free nights a year, Red Hot Rooms discounts of up to 50% at participating hotels, 30% off food and 15% off drinks at participating restaurants and bars, 15% off flexible rates worldwide, and instant ALL Accor Gold status with 30 Status Nights toward the following year. None of that changes with the expansion. The new hotels simply widen the map where the free nights and dining discounts can be used.

A tip for anyone eyeing Platinum, which is where executive lounge access, daily breakfast at Asia-Pacific hotels, and two Suite Night Upgrades come in. Explorer’s 30 Status Nights are half of the 60 you need, and while the global ALL Accor+ models are capped at 30 bonus nights a year between them, China’s separate Accor Plus 2.0 program sits outside that cap. Its Premium tier adds another 20 Status Nights for $298 (CAD), or less on promotion, which leaves 10 real nights between you and Platinum. What Changes Once a Country Joins

The part that trips people up is that Explorer has two kinds of benefits. Some work at any Accor hotel in the world, and the ones that make the membership worth buying only work at participating hotels, which Accor defines by country.

So until now, a member stopping in Doha (DOH) could book a Raffles or a Pullman there, take 15% off the flexible rate, and enjoy the Gold perks, but couldn’t use a Stay Plus night or the dining discount, because Qatar wasn’t a participating country. From October 1, the top three rows of that table switch on across all 10 new markets.

The Stay Plus rules travel with the benefit, and they’re worth re-reading before you plan around it. You need a stay of two or more consecutive nights, the free night covers the more expensive of the two, the rate only appears when you search through the Explorer portal at accorplus.com rather than the regular Accor site, the certificate covers the base room category only, and both the booking and the checkout have to fall inside your membership year. One rule I’ll be watching in the new markets is the minimum stay. The Maldives, Fiji, and French Polynesia carry a three-night minimum instead of two, because resort destinations with year-round demand push for more revenue per certificate. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Red Sea resorts or Petra treated the same way once the fine print appears.

Where the New Markets Fit a Canadian Trip

Explorer has always been a niche buy from Canada, because the benefits that matter only work in the participating countries. This expansion doesn’t change that logic, but it does add the places Canadians actually route through on the way to Asia, plus two of the region’s biggest destination trips. Accor operates every hotel below, but hotel-level participation won’t be confirmed until the list is published.

Doha is the obvious one. Qatar Airways flies nonstop from Montreal (YUL) and Toronto (YYZ), and a two-night Stay Plus booking at a participating Doha hotel fits a stopover almost perfectly, the same way Dubai (DXB) and Abu Dhabi (AUH) did after the May launch. Egypt and Jordan are destination trips rather than stopovers, and they’re the two markets where I’d expect the free nights to stretch furthest, given how much Accor property sits along the Nile and around Petra.

Saudi Arabia is the interesting long-term addition, since Accor is one of the largest operators there and the country is spending heavily on tourism, though most Canadians are still a few years away from planning a trip around it. Iraq and Lebanon are on the list too, but Canada’s travel advisories make those academic for the majority of readers, and Pakistan mostly matters to the sizeable diaspora that flies home regularly.

The exclusions from the UAE launch are the best guide to what to expect here. Banyan Tree properties sit outside Stay Plus across the whole program, so Banyan Tree Doha shouldn’t be counted on. Rixos, which runs all-inclusive resorts in Egypt, Qatar, and the UAE, honoured member rates at some properties but offered little on the free-night side. Premium restaurants and rooftop bars can opt out of the dining discount, and blackout dates around Ramadan and Eid, which fall in February and March next year, applied in the UAE and will almost certainly apply across the Gulf.

The 15% off drinks benefit deserves a mention in this region specifically. In Doha and across most of the Gulf, hotel bars are the only bars, and their prices reflect it, so the discount lands more visibly on a single evening than it does in Bangkok or Singapore. Saudi Arabia is the exception, since alcohol isn’t served at all.

Stack It with Qatar Airways Privilege Club

There’s a second layer for anyone routing through Doha. ALL lets you link one airline program to your account, and for Canadians the right pick is Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Once linked, every paid Accor stay earns up to 1 Avios per euro spent on top of your usual ALL Reward points, after you’ve completed one international activity such as a stay outside Canada or any Qatar Airways flight.

Put the pieces together on a Doha stopover and a single Accor booking does three things at once. The Stay Plus certificate comps the pricier of your two nights, the dining discount takes 30% off dinner, and the paid night drops Avios into the same account you’d use to book Qsuites on the way home. That matters more from Canada than it might look. ALL points are hard to accumulate here, since the only credit card route is the new 2:1 transfer from Membership Rewards, whereas Avios flow in easily from Membership Rewards through British Airways Club and Combine My Avios. Letting Accor stays feed the Avios side is the more useful direction.

What the 3,000-Point UAE Offer Is Worth

Alongside the expansion, Accor is offering 3,000 bonus ALL Accor Reward points to anyone who buys an Explorer membership in the UAE between October 1 and 31, 2026.

At Accor’s fixed redemption rate of 2,000 points for €40 off a stay, the bonus is worth €60, or roughly $95 (CAD). In Membership Rewards terms, that’s what 6,000 points would buy you through the new transfer. It’s a better sign-up incentive than the 2,000-point offers the program has run over the past year, and a far more flexible one than the country-locked dining vouchers it handed out in August.

The wrinkle is that it’s a UAE offer. Accor’s wording ties the points to UAE residents who purchase during October, and the sign-up flow assigns your membership to a country when you buy. Canadians normally join through the rest-of-world channel, which is why the August dining vouchers were of no use to most of us. On the other hand, the form asks for an address rather than any proof of residency, so if you have a UAE address you can use, it doesn’t hurt to try once the offer goes live on October 1.

If it works, the timing is worth noting. The bonus only starts on October 1, which is also the day the fee rises, so a UAE sign-up is trading US$6 more on the membership for 3,000 points. That’s a trade worth making.

Timing It Against the October 1 Price Rise

The expansion and the price increase share a date, and that creates a small window worth using. Explorer’s rest-of-world fee, which is what Canadians pay, moves from US$249 to US$255 on October 1. Buy before then and you pay the current price for your first year, and switch auto-renewal on before September 30 and your first renewal bills at the old rate as well.

Since benefits in the new countries begin on October 1 regardless of when you joined, there’s no advantage to waiting for the launch day itself. A September sign-up gets the Middle East hotels the moment they go live and locks in two years at US$249. The only reason to hold off is if you were hoping for a Canadian-facing sign-up bonus, and Accor hasn’t announced one, although the worldwide 2,000-point promotions have recurred every few months.

Two small habits from our earlier guides still apply. The membership year appears to run to the end of the month you join rather than the exact date, so joining early in a month buys a few extra days at no cost. And the fee bills in US dollars, so put it on a card with no foreign transaction fees rather than handing 2.5% back to your bank.

Adding 10 countries in one go is the most significant change to ALL Accor+ Explorer since the rebrand, and it turns a program that was strictly for Asia-Pacific travel into one that covers the whole corridor between Canada and Asia. Doha, Cairo, and Amman on the map make the two free nights and the dining discounts easier to use on the trips Canadians already take, and a linked Qatar Airways Privilege Club account turns each of those stays into Avios as well.

The 3,000-point bonus is a nice touch for UAE residents and a long shot worth a try for everyone else. What matters for a Canadian reader is simpler. If a Doha stopover or an Egypt or Jordan trip is in your next 12 months, September is the time to join, before the fee ticks up and with the new hotels arriving a few weeks later.

If your travel stays in North America and Europe, the map got bigger but the answer didn’t change. Explorer still isn’t built for you, and Accor’s other subscriptions remain the better fit.
